Mini Circuit, Ville de Luxembourg played host to the 2026 EFRA 1/10th Track European Championships, bringing together some of Europe’s best drivers for a week of high-speed action across the Modified, Stock and FWD classes.

The BRCA might have arrived with a small team, but it was certainly a perfectly formed one, with British representation across all three classes.

A true bucket-list circuit

Luxembourg is one of those circuits every touring car racer wants to experience.

A long back straight allows the cars to stretch their legs before attacking the high-speed chicane, while the circuit’s famous corkscrew section sends them through more than two metres of elevation change in just two corners.

It is fast, technical and spectacular – and occasionally a place where cars arrive at the scene of their accident at considerable speed! Several of the Modified runners discovered just how unforgiving the circuit can be over the course of the event.

Team BRCA

Brian Eldridge took on the role of BRCA Team Manager and did a superb job supporting our drivers throughout the championship.

As well as providing the team presence required at a major international event, Brian was on hand with advice and support, particularly for those experiencing a full international race meeting for the first time.

A huge thank you from all of us to Brian for being such an important part of the team.

International events also rely heavily on good refereeing, so we were delighted to see Mark Burgess of the BRCA selected by EFRA as Head Referee for the championship. Mark was ably assisted by Werniers Gregory of Belgium.

A special moment for Frankie

There was an extra reason to celebrate for Frankie Fletcher, who received a special trophy for being the youngest competitor at this year’s European Championship.

Frankie edged the honour by just a couple of months from Filip Hudy and represented the BRCA brilliantly throughout the event.

Well done, Frankie – a fantastic achievement and a credit to the BRCA and, of course, his parents!

Next stop: the World Championships

With another European Championship completed, attention now turns to the biggest stage of all.

Next up are the IFMAR World Championships in Thailand this November, where once again we look forward to seeing BRCA drivers representing Great Britain on the international stage.
